Bio

Dr. Marta K. Dowejko received her doctoral degree in management from the University of Hong Kong, where she also served as manager and senior researcher of the Centre for Asian Entrepreneurship and Business Values and taught in the Global Executive MBA program. She has developed multiple teaching case studies on Hong Kong based companies and published articles and book chapters on entrepreneurship topics. Dr. Dowejko also mentored numerous business startups and co-founded a successful business in Hong Kong. She has gained her professional experience in Poland, Belgium, Hong Kong, and Mainland China. Her research interests include entrepreneurial networks and strategic entrepreneurship. Currently, Dr. Dowejko is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Entrepreneurship at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her most recent policy research on the entrepreneurial ecosystem of Hong Kong was the first comprehensive study to address the opportunities and challenges of Hong Kong as Asia’s entrepreneurship hub and it was well received by local and international media, policymakers, and industry associations of Hong Kong.
