Bio

Prof. Illana Gozes – Ph.D, Professor of Clinical Biochemistry the Lily and Avraham Gildor Chair for the Investigation of Growth Factors. Former Director, the Adams Super Center for Brain Studies. Director the Edersheim Levie-Gitter Institute for Functional Brain Imaging,  Head of the Elton Laboratory for Molecular Neuroendocrinology. Serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Molecular Neuroscience and Chief Scientific Officer of Coronis Partners. Former President, Israel Society for Neuroscience and Founder, Former Chief Scientific Officer and Director, Allon Therapeutics Inc. B.Sc., Tel Aviv University, Ph.D. Weizmann Institute of Science, Postdoctoral Fellowship, MIT, visiting scientist, Salk Institute and Scripps Clinic, NIH and the University of Oldenburg.

Author of ~300 publications and inventors of >15 families of patents. Awarded any prizes, including the Humboldt Award; Hanse-Wissenschaftskolleg Fellowship; Landau Prize/Life Science; Olson Prize/ most meritorious original research; Tel Aviv University President Award for Innovation; Fleur Strand Award; Best Scientist Award-Israeli Society for Laboratory Studies; Neufeld Research Award; Fogarty-Scholar-in-Residence-NIH; Teva Founders Prize; Juludan Prize/outstanding research achievements; Bergmann Memorial Fund Research Prize; Landau Prize for Excellent PhD Studies.
