Bio

Chaim (Harvey) J. Hames received his PhD in Medieval History from Cambridge University in 1996. He is currently the Director of the Center (I-CORE) for the Study of Conversion and Inter-Religious Encounters (CSOC) and is the David Berg and Family Professor in European History at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. His research interests include Medieval and Renaissance Jewish and Christian mysticism and philosophy, apocalypticism, inter-religious polemics, Judaism and Israel today and issues dealing with conversion and identity.
