The Role of Foreign Affairs in Creating Global Venture Partnerships

“We in the foreign ministry are looking into the possibilities of matchmaking this international interest with Israel to create partnerships between Israelis and Israeli innovations with other innovators around the world,” says Ms. Yaffa Ben-Ari, the deputy director general of the Israel Ministry of Foreign Affairs. She adds, “We believe this partnership between Israel and what Israel can contribute to the rest of the world is very important for better relations and a better life.”

So how is this partnership actually made? According to Ben-Ari, it starts with a government-to-government approach but is later complemented with business-to-business, meaning bringing delegations with the actual inventors and initiators to meet each other and find their own ways of cooperation.
