Water Venture 2015 Videos are Online

water-globe-205x250On January 28th, 2015, the Coller Institute of Venture co-hosted the first Lisbon-Tel Aviv Water Venture Workshop at the ISCTE – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. The objective of our workshop was to connect industry, leading academic research and business initiatives relating to water.

Talks from the workshop are now available on our website for members of the CIV online community. Among the topics discussed were renewable energy, robotics and communications, biology and biofilm technology, water monitoring and forecasting.

The workshop was summarized by the “Towards Water Venture” panel, moderated by CIV Chairman, Prof. Eli Talmor.

Roy Wiesner, CEO of Hutchison Kinrot (Israel) spoke at the workshop, and later elaborated on the opportunities of water venture at the Deep Innovation Issue of Coller Venture Review, concluding that “water is on its way to becoming one of the main focus areas of corporate investors in the Clean-Tech space, offering a clear promise for meaningful and profitable investments.”
