Welcoming Prof. Thillai Rajan A., CIV’s New International Affiliate

Thillai Rajan is a Professor in the Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras. Before joining academia, he worked as the Manager of Emerging Technologies Fund, an early stage fund set up by IL&FS Venture Corporation to invest in Information Technology and Biotechnology companies. In 2005, he attended the Chevening Gurukul Program on Globalisation and Leadership at the London School of Economics. In 2008, he was selected for the Endeavour Executive Program at the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Sydney. In 2010, he was selected for a Fulbright-Nehru Senior Research Fellow at the Harvard University. Since 2009, Thillai Rajan has been publishing an annual report on the Indian Venture Capital industry. Each and every issue of the report focuses on a specific theme of the industry. He teaches financial management and other related courses in the MBA and other programs at IIT Madras. His areas of research interest include venture capital, private equity, and corporate finance.
