As part of our efforts to encourage and support original academic research in the field of venture, CIV has awarded four academicians with a 2015 Grant.
We received over 60 proposals from leading universities and research institutes from around the globe. The selection process was particularly challenging as we received a large number of outstanding proposals. After careful consideration, we selected four winners to receive $15,000 each for the goal of making a significant contribution to the understanding and shaping of the venture ecosystem.
These Grants together with CIV will provide winners with a global platform to discuss and disseminate their work.
We hereby announce the winners as follows:
Dr. Brett Anitra Gilbert, Rutgers Business School
“Building Culture for Technology Entrepreneurship in Developing Contexts”
Jennifer Kuan, Lyda Bigelow, Kyle Mayer and Robert Wuebker, Stanford University
“The Role of Contract Framing in Venture Capital”
Prof. Christoph Hienerth and Monika Hauck, WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management
